World Clean Up Day – Beach Clean Up with we.are.tohorā

Join us this World Cleanup Day as we come together to care for our coastline, ocean, and marine life.

Hosted by we.are.tohorā and Julia Graeter – the Whale Woman, this community beach clean-up in New Brighton is an opportunity to make a hands-on difference for the environment while connecting with others who share a love for the sea.

Together, we’ll remove rubbish and plastics that threaten our precious wildlife – from seabirds to whales – and celebrate the power of collective action. Every piece of litter removed is a step towards a cleaner, healthier ocean.

What to bring:

- Reusable gloves (if you have them)
- Buckets or reusable bags for collecting rubbish
- Sun protection, water bottle, and a smile

We’ll provide extra clean-up gear, waste sorting, and light refreshments.

This is a family-friendly event – everyone is welcome!
