Who else loves Matapouri Beach? It's such a gem, and what better way to celebrate the summer and the full moon than with our very first Beach Dance! Picture this: dancing on the sand, surrounded by nature, with the ocean as your backdrop—pure bliss.We’ll kick things off with an hour of Somatic Movement & Breathwork to ground and open up, followed by 1.5 hours of Ecstatic Dance to flow, express, and connect.Join us for this magical experience by the sea!

SOMATIC MOVEMENT
Connect with your body and life force energy through movement and mindfulness. We will mobilise our bodies and have a moment to tune in to our inner self, our senses, the environment, and what is alive within us. Somatic movement is an opportunity to bring us into the present moment, to regulate our nervous systems, and embrace movement practices that will bring us into deeper embodied awareness, feeling, and expression.

BREATHWORK
Journey within using the breath to connect to your embodied awareness, release stress, and liberate vital energy. Discover how the breath can support holistic healing, emotional release, and mental clarity.

ECSTATIC DANCE
Ecstatic Dance is a Wave Dance. It starts slow & melodic, builds to an ecstatic peak and comes back down. This is therapeutic for the body, releases blockages and allows you to go through a journey and process. There is no talking, just dance. Abandon yourself to the rhythm and move freely as the music takes you, leading to trance and a feeling of ecstasy.“When we dance together we celebrate Gratitude and Connection”

Dylan Kaufman is a skilled somatic coach and workshop facilitator with extensive training in mind-body coaching, yoga teaching, qigong, ceremonial cacao alchemy, creative arts therapy, reiki, shamanic arts, and deep tissue massage. In addition to his holistic health and healing expertise, Dylan works as a structural, civil, and architectural design engineer - specialising in modern earth homes with nature based solutions. Dylan combines his intellect and heart with a passion for natural regeneration and sustainability for the future generations. This unique combination of the technical and the holistic allows Dylan to approach projects with a balanced perspective, emphasising the interconnection between humans and nature to support personal and planetary transformation. His work is a testament to how intelligent design can support both ecological balance and personal well-being, inspiring a more conscious and resilient future.

KIMBA JADE

DJ, Teacher & Alchemist – With over 20 years of experience, Kimba Jade crafts transformative journeys through her unique blend of melodic, tribal, and oriental tech house and techno. Her music moves both bodies and hearts, creating an immersive dance experience.After spending seven years playing in Sydney’s top clubs, Kimba returned to New Zealand where she discovered the power of Ecstatic Dance. Inspired by this experience, she now hosts her own Alchemic Dance Floor events, guiding people through high-vibe, heart-opening dance journeys.Her vibronic sets weave ethnic melodies with deep, bass-driven rhythms, and she adds a special touch by incorporating live bass guitar into her mixes, creating a sound that is uniquely her own.Beyond DJing, Kimba is passionate about teaching. She mentors aspiring DJs and facilitates Ecstatic Dance sessions, sharing her love of music and movement with others.
