Beaded Earrings with Billiano Designs

Get inspired, get creative and get beading! Led by experienced African jewellery designer Bilikis, you'll learn all the techniques and tips you need to craft your own set of gorgeous statement beaded earrings.

In this class, you will learn how to make a pair of statement beaded earrings and take home your unique creation!

All materials for the class will be provided, just bring yourself.

This workshop is offered by social enterprise fashion label The Social Outfit as part of the Australian Design Centre's Craft Week 2022 it will be taught Bilikis Gbadamosi, founder of African Jewellery label Billiano Designs. Our social enterprise fashion label exists to provide employment and training to people from refugee and new migrant communities in clothing production, retail, design and marketing. Our training and employment model builds skills in a supportive environment, interacting with broader Sydney communities and producing ethical fashion that reflects a hopeful Australian spirit.

ABOUT BILIKIS 

Bilikis Gbadamosi is the founder of African Jewellery label Billiano Designs. In 2018, Bilikis immigrated to Australia from Nigeria. After 14 years of creating women’s accessories in Africa, she founded her own business in Sydney.

With a passion for jewellery design, particularly in beading, gemstones and precious metal wire, each work is painstakingly handcrafted, vibrant and unique.

Always inspired by her cultural heritage, she takes design cues from her home country of Nigeria and fuses them with her own creative vision to create something uniquely her own
