Dr. Lamma Mansour and Dr. Yousef Khoury are esteemed Palestinian Christian theologians bringing firsthand perspectives on faith, justice, and costly peace-making to churches across New Zealand. Yousef is the academic dean of Bethlehem Bible College, a board member of Kairos Palestine and was raised in Gaza—where his family remains. Lamma is a Palestinian citizen of Israel, writer, researcher, and social policy scholar from Nazareth.
Through their teaching, research, and lived experience they offer a thoughtful and deeply personal insight to the realities in the Holy Land today, and what courageous peace-making can look like from here in the Pacific.

Dr Lamma Mansour
Lamma Mansour is a Christian Palestinian from Nazareth, a writer and speaker engaging the intersection of faith and justice. Her work reflects on what it means to follow Christ in contexts marked by violence, with particular attention to how hope, beauty, and faith take form amid struggle. She writes on these themes in her Substack, Dispatches from Nazareth. Lamma is also a sociologist whose research explores the political, spatial, emotional, and gendered dimensions of Palestinian life in Israel. Her current project, Hometowns in the Margins, examines how Palestinian youth relate to their hometowns under conditions of structural marginalization and contested identity, attending to experiences of belonging, fear, and possibility. She also studies the impact of community violence and organized crime on young Palestinian women. She completed her doctoral studies at the University of Oxford and is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Dr Yousef Khoury
Yousef Kamal AlKhoury (Ph.D., Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) is a Christian Arab Palestinian theologian from Gaza. He serves as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies and Academic Dean at Bethlehem Bible College. He is a member of the steering committee of Christ at the Checkpoint and the board of Kairos Palestine. His research and publications, in Arabic and English, center on Palestinian theology, contextual biblical interpretation, and Palestinian and Arab Christianity.
