Starting near the site of the famed 8th St Bookstore, we will walk down MacDougal Street and across Bleecker Street, visiting some of the places and pads where Beatniks dug their scene--including Washington Square Park, The Kettle of Fish, The San Remo, The Fat Black Pussy Cat, The Gaslight and the The Cafe Wha?, plus sites associated with Beat luminaries like Alan Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, Jackson Pollock, Lenny Bruce, Charlie Parker, Ted Joans and Diane DiPrima.
