The 2021 BEATS Awards showcase outstanding businesses of the Tweed Shire and are a chance to celebrate the diverse and vibrant local economy.

Ticket includes food by The Pink Bar & Bacaro; a drinks package including Stone & Wood beers, Ink Gin and Husk Rum from Husk Farm Distillery, and Australian wines selected by Bacaro; and entertainment by local musicians.

Our Mission

Business Excellence Awards Tweed Shire (BEATS) will acknowledge businesses in the Tweed Shire that excel in their nominated industry and exceed customer expectations with a professional yearly awards programme. This event is endorsed and facilitated by the NSW Business Chamber. BEATS winners, where pathways are applicable, will gain automatic entry into the NSW Business Chamber Regional Awards. The winners of the Regional Awards go directly to the NSW State Awards. Other Award pathways include the NSW WorkCover State Awards and the Tweed Shire Council’s Access and Inclusion Awards.


Our Venue M-Arts Precinct & Regent Cinema

Set in an industrial warehouse and classic Art Deco building in Murwillumbah, M-Arts Precinct is a vibrant place where artists and art lovers can come together over great coffee, food and art.

M-Arts also hosts constantly changing exhibitions from local and visiting artists There are quirky studios occupied by exciting artists, jewellers and makers from the region and more on the way.

Built in 1947, The Regent has been at the heart of culture in Murwillumbah for over 70 years. Recently refurbished to its authentic Art Deco glory, this majestic building is an architectural destination unto itself.

The Regent presents a spectacular program of live performance including theatre, comedy, music and more by local and touring artists, comfortably viewed from traditional tiered seating.

The air-conditioned auditorium holds 300 people seated and has state of the art technical production and surround sound.
