Minhy & SXSEA Present: Beats to Draw to
Experience a harmonious blend of art and music where audiences are invited to participate in creating works of art in the inspiring company of live music from Naarm’s local scene.
Hosted at Unassigned Gallery, this event welcomes artists of all levels, from seasoned professionals to enthusiastic beginners, to unleash their inner artist. The indoor space will feature uninstructed life drawing with models in costumes, facilitated by CDW Studios. Venture to the serene outdoor courtyard for plein air sessions and still life in nature.
SXSEA will curate a lineup of female-identifying artists from the South Asian and South East Asian diaspora, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Things to note!
- Bring your favourite art materials (sketchbooks, charcoal, pencils, paints etc). Basic paper will be provided.
- 'Beats to Draw to' is an inclusive space. Everyone of all ages, backgrounds, sexualities, genders and abilities is welcome.
- Accessibility: a ramp is available at the entrance and an additional ramp along the side provides entry into the courtyard.
- Unisex toilet is available on premises (not fully equipped for accessibility needs).
- Accessible toilets available from neighbouring restaurant Juanita Peaches (120m away).
- This event will not feature strobe/flashing lights

Amla
Amla is a multi-instrumentalist (flautist, violinist & vocalist) & composer who creates original and improvised ethereal worldly soundscapes. Informed by her classical background in flute and diverse range of musical genres including Latin pop, Jazz and Celtic folk she floats through carefully crafted melodies that take you on a journey.
Jessie Hill
Taking influence from her upbringing in classical music and paired with her love for jazz, Jessie is carving out a space for her music, earning a #3 album on the New Zealand charts and performing on festival stages across the world. In just a few years of performing and releasing music, Jessie Hill is one of Australia's most exciting upcoming artists.
Minhy
Songwriter and designer, Minhy (mini), creates immersive worlds through her award winning visuals, thought provoking lyrics and genre bending style of pop-R&B. Her songs explore themes of love, mythology and philosophical reflections.
