Beau Miles x Buffalo Stampede Movie Night
Event description
Online ticket sales have now ended. If you would still like to attend and do not have a ticket, please head to the Brewery and ask at the Bar. There are a few seats left but not many!
Heading to Bright to run the Buffalo Stampede?
Why not kick things off early with a preview screening of two new Beau Miles documentaries inside Bright Brewery.
Beau's offbeat stories of adventure exemplify a curious view of the human condition.
Beau will MC the evening, regaling us with tales from his running exploits, and speaking about his new book, The Backyard Adventurer.
The films:
Marathon My Age: running 42.195 kms on my 42.195th birthday
My decimal age on March 2nd, 2022 was 42.195, which by no coincidence is also the length of a marathon in kilometres. To celebrate being alive, based on the actions of two people almost 43 years ago, I decided to run the famous distance around my district, retracing my history via schools, homes, memories and odd experiences that have shaped me, mum and dad over this marathon-chunk of time.
The Day My Hat Died
My magnificent hat has lost the will to live. After thousands of days in the sun it’s fabric no longer protects me from the sun. With a heavy heart, and a head full of memories I take my favourite, thread-bare, stinking, beyond-repair hat for one last run.
Join us first for dinner at Bright Brewery (own cost), then relax with a beer for the movie screenings and chat.
