Come along and hear an extraordinary story of determination, identity and lifelong learning.

North West Coast palawa man Brendan Murray will deliver a special lecture, sharing his journey from a difficult childhood to becoming a university student after discovering at 26 years of age that he could not read or write.

Brendan's story is one of perseverance, self-discovery and the belief that it's never too late to learn. Now studying a Bachelor of Arts and aspiring to become an historian, he continues to inspire others through his commitment to education and community.

The event will also include a screening of Uncle Beau's Story, first featured in the TenDays on the Island "Shorewell Presents" exhibition that highlighted the rich stories and experiences of local Shorewell people.

We invite you to join this meaningful evening of reflection, storytelling and connection.
