Beautiful Noise Movement for PD Event

Join member(s) of the cast of A BEAUTIFUL NOISE for a special FREE movement day!

There are 10 million people living with Parkinson’s Disease (PD), including Neil Diamond. Like Neil, co-producer of the show Adam Riemer has a personal connection with PD:

“My mom, Stepheny, always said, ‘If you are creative, you will never be bored.’ Her imagination and optimism stayed intact, even after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2007,” Riemer said. “Shortly after her passing, I was presented with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the producing team of A BEAUTIFUL NOISE. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to this important cause in honor of my mom, Neil Diamond and all those impacted by PD."

The Broadway company of A BEAUTIFUL NOISE created a partnership with the Parkinson’s Foundation and to date, raised $750,000 for the Parkinson’s Foundation. With the North American tour company, they have a new goal of $1,000,000 for Parkinson’s Foundation.

Join member(s) of the cast of A BEAUTIFUL NOISE and Dance for PD certified instructor Susanne Carter for a special FREE movement day. This class will utilize a Dance for PD® approach which was created by director David Leventhal of the Mark Morris Dance Group, Brooklyn, NY. Susanne has trained with Dance for PD® and has been teaching since 2009. Dancing is shown to help people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) improve their ability to walk and enhances their quality of live, according to research published in the Journal of Neural Transmission.
