Bec Bastoli & Emmy Ryan at The Merri Creek Tavern - Folk in the City
Event description
Folk in the City every Wednesday night in August at The Merri Creek Tavern. Wednesday 27 August - Bec Bastoli and Emmy Ryan.
Bec Bastoli
Bec Bastoli is an Australian-Palestinian artist whose songwriting explores threads of identity, connection and longing. Accompanying herself on guitar and mandolin, her richly melodic music invites listeners into a space of thoughtful reflection. With a voice that is both expressive and unguarded, she delivers what Timber and Steel called "some of the most poignant songs l've heard in ages."
Emmy Ryan
Guided by tenderness, curiosity, and a fierce devotion to truth, Emmy crafts contemporary folk songs that live between lullaby and reckoning. Her deft mandolin and guitar cradle a voice that’s both technically masterful and emotionally raw, capable of cracking open even the most guarded heart.
Emmy 8:15-9pm
Bec 9:15-10pm
