Bec Taylor and the Lyrebirds with Pete Wild
Event description
Six-piece Bec Taylor and the Lyrebirds deliver the "sound of what folk music did next" (Dancing About Architecture) with alt-folk-country music, rich instrumentation, and heartfelt lyrics. Audiences hook into their dynamic melodies, rich harmonies and an intimate vibe, highlighted in their acclaimed album 'Limbs & All'. The Lyrebirds’ instrumentation includes guitars, keyboards, drums, bass, mandolin, cello, four-part harmonies and drums.
Bec Taylor, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, has recorded over a dozen studio records and performed at major festivals like Groovin’ The Moo and Woodford Folk Festival. Her latest project with the Lyrebirds showcases heartfelt songwriting with alt-folk-country influences, highlighted in their acclaimed album, 'Limbs & All'. Written while pregnant and nursing her firstborn, the album is infused with a sincere, motherly touch.
Candelo's own Pete Wild will open the evening. Pete probably requires no introduction; if you do require an introduction, come along and I'm sure he'll shake your hand.
