Description

Bring your homeschooling adventures to life with an educational and interactive visit to Teralba Bees Apiary in Brisbane! Our Bee Discovery Days offer children a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of honey bees, discover how a beehive works and learn why these incredible little creatures are so important to our environment.

Led by experienced beekeepers, students will get up close to the world of bees, explore real beekeeping equipment and learn about the life of a honey bee, the roles within a colony, how bees communicate, how honey is made and the important relationship between bees, plants and our food supply.

While we won't be opening or entering any active hives, children will have plenty of opportunities to see, touch, ask questions and engage with the fascinating world of beekeeping in a safe and welcoming environment using our display hives

Designed with curious young minds in mind, our sessions combine hands-on learning, real-world experiences and plenty of opportunities for discovery. It's a wonderful way to bring science, nature and environmental education into your homeschooling program while creating a memorable learning experience for the whole family.
