BEE-utiful nature craft - Eco Eats & Beats Festival

The Warilla Town Centre will come alive on Sunday 10 November when Shellharbour City Council holds an exciting new event, the Eco Eats and Beats Street Festival.

The Eco Eats and Beats Street Festival will be a vibrant event that showcases a variety of eco-friendly activations including long table dining using upcycled furnishings, workshops focusing on recycling and the re-use of materials, waste-wise activations, an upcycled market, kids' entertainment, nature play and street performances.

Workshop Details 🌿

Learn about the beauty of Australian native bees and create a simple nature crown and native bee wrist band. Native bees are important pollinators and link strongly to biodiversity conservation and local food production. All craft materials will be eco-friendly and recyclable or compostable after use. 

The nature crowns will be made from eco-friendly materials (paper and paper tape) and upcycle local natural materials such as leaves and flowers into a decorative crown. Native bee wrist bands will be made from thin sustainably sourced cardboard and are recyclable.

• Please arrive 5 minutes before scheduled time, if you do not arrive by the time of the start time then your spot will be forfeited
• Children must have an accompanying adult at all times, we ask that adults stand to the side and allow the facilitator to interact with participants and guide them through the workshop
• All supplies will only be provided for the registered person
• The facilitator will do their best to accommodate additional participants but cannot be guaranteed
