ABOUT THE BAND

An American band formed in 1993, Squirrel Nut Zippers rocketed from the underground scene of Chapel Hill, NC, to the national stage. The band's music is an infectious blend of Delta blues, gypsy jazz, 1930s–era swing, klezmer, and Southern storytelling. They found commercial success during the swing revival of the late 1990s with their 1996 single "Hell."
