BEER SCHOOL! ERRR... WE MEAN CIDER SCHOOL!

We're trading hops for apples and getting a little nerdy at Mosaic!

Join Bart Gabbard, Mosaic Brewing founding partner, Certified Cider Professional, and Certified Cicerone, for a FREE evening exploring the fascinating world of cider!

Think cider is just fermented apple juice? Think again.

Cider has thousands of years of history, an incredible range of styles, and a production process every bit as interesting as beer or wine.

And we're diving into ALL of it!

We'll explore:

THE HISTORY OF CIDER
From ancient apple cultivation along the Silk Road to the cider traditions of England, France, Spain, and beyond.

APPLES AREN'T JUST APPLES
Discover the difference between bittersweet, bittersharp, sharp, and sweet apples, and why the varieties used can completely change a cider's character.

THE SCIENCE OF CIDER
Learn how fermentation, yeast, sugar, acidity, and tannins shape the finished product.

CIDER STYLES AROUND THE WORLD
Explore traditional English cider, French cidre, Spanish sidra, and modern American cider. Dry, sweet, still, sparkling, funky, or refined. There's a whole world beyond what you see on grocery store shelves.

WHAT MAKES GREAT CIDER?
We'll break down production techniques, flavor profiles, and what to look for when exploring different ciders.
