Stomping Ground and Cactus Outdoor present: BEERS & REPAIRS [Thursday 30 July 6-9 pm]
The Cactus Outdoor Crew is stopping by Stomping Ground Collingwood for FREE gear repairs. Their techs will have a crack at patching and stitching your jackets, vests, trousers, shorts and shirts.
While they’re at it, if you add a Stomping Ground patch - we’ll shout you a pint.
Cactus has made rugged, repairable gear since 1992 and we love their approach to sustainability. Beers & Repairs is our combined effort to keep good kit going while getting a beer into the hands of those who care to keep gear out of landfill.

- Where and when is this event hosted?
Stomping Ground Brewery and Beer Hall, 100 Gipps Street, Collingwood, on Thursday 23 July 2026, 6-9 pm
- Are there any cost to book or get repairs?
No payment required - walk-ins welcome, RSVPs preferred.
Repairs are offered free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis, while time and materials allow. We'll do our best to get to everyone, but repairs can't be guaranteed for all attendees. - What are the limitations for what can be repaired?
Repairs are limited to one garment per person to ensure we have time to service as many customers as possible. Our repair techs will only repair clothing items and small bags. Unfortunately, we can't repair tents, swags, gloves, or lighter knits (such as Merino or woollen jumpers).
We'll repair gear from any brand - not just Cactus. Repairs are limited to what can reasonably be done on-site (patches, stitching, minor fixes). Items needing major repairs may be declined, or we can chat about other options.
Please bring gear clean and dry. We reserve the right to decline items that are heavily soiled, wet, or unsafe to handle. - How does the 'Pints for Patches' work?
One complimentary pint (of the Stomping Ground Stripes range) per person who participates in having a Stomping Ground patch sewn to their jacket, bag, etc.
Complimentary drinks are subject to responsible service of alcohol requirements and available only to guests aged 18+ with valid ID. Not redeemable for cash and not transferable. - T&Cs
Complimentary pints are from the Stomping Ground core 'Stripes' range.
Canapés are complimentary and available while stocks last.
Gear remains the owner's responsibility at all times. Please don't leave items unattended - neither Cactus Outdoor nor Stomping Ground is responsible for lost, stolen, or unclaimed items.
Repairs are carried out with care, but are provided on a best-effort basis. Cactus Outdoor and Stomping Ground accept no liability for any damage to items arising from on-site repairs, and repairs do not affect or extend any existing product warranty.
Entry is subject to venue capacity and Stomping Ground's standard house rules and conditions of entry. Management reserves the right to refuse entry or service.
Photography and video may be taken at the event for promotional use by Cactus Outdoor and Stomping Ground. Let a staff member know if you'd prefer not to be photographed.
