The Last Octopus | Film, Stories & Conversation

Salty Souls Society invites you to an evening celebrating octopuses, ocean conservation and the people working to protect our seas.

We’ll be screening Before The Last Octopus, a short documentary produced in collaboration with Sea Shepherd Global, following crews working in the Mediterranean to protect octopuses and expose the hidden impact of illegal fishing.

After the film, we’ll connect online with Martina, a Sea Shepherd videographer currently on campaign in Greece, where she’s working with the crew to remove illegal octopus traps. She’ll join us for a Q&A and share a little insight into life on campaign and the work happening on the ground.

We’ll then finish the evening with Encounters Collective, sharing stories and personal encounters with octopuses and marine life.
