"Deep Creek is one of the lesser-known treasures of the Denniston Plateau. Ancient, weather-shaped, and alive with rare ecosystems, this sandstone stronghold remains a place of profound wilderness. But not for long. Under the fast-track mining process, this unique landscape could be torn open for short-term profit. A place shaped over millions of years reduced to a wasteland in a generation.

So we drew a line.

Climate Liberation Aotearoa activists and highliners rigged a highline across the canyon. A bold, suspended act of resistance to show exactly what is at stake and what it means to stand in defence of it."
