The Social Enterprise Council of NSW and ACT (SECNA) invites you to join us for the Bega Business for Good Lunch, generously supported by Bega Valley Shire Council and The Business Council of Australia Community Rebuilding Trust.
Friday 11 October, 12pm to 1:30pm at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre, Zingel Place, Bega.
SECNA is the peak body that represents the interests of social entrepreneurs and social enterprises across NSW and the ACT.
Business for Good events are one of the ways SECNA engages and connects with the local social enterprise sector.
These events are a fantastic opportunity to connect and network with social enterprises and supporters in your community, raise questions and share your ideas and learnings.
Who is this event for?
Business for Good Lunches are open to anyone interested or involved in the social enterprise movement. This is SECNA's first Business for Good event in Bega and we look forward to welcoming representatives from across the community.
What is a social enterprise?
A social enterprise is a business that puts people and planet first. They trade like any other business, but exist specifically to make the world a better place. Read more
What to expect:
· Lunch will be served upon arrival and is included in your ticket
· Welcome and overview of SECNA
· Overview of Bega Valley Shire Council’s role in supporting social enterprise
· Community asks and offers - Each guest is given an opportunity to briefly introduce themselves/their social enterprise and then share one ask and offer of the community e.g. ‘we’re looking for warehouse space for refurbished items’ or ‘we’re experts in circular design and are happy to answer questions'
· Guests invited to network for the remainder of the lunch
· Closing remarks.
Tickets are $10 or free for SECNA members.
