Beggars Banquet - A Pump House Cabaret

Join ye old Free Theatre and our company of rain dogs at the heritage Pump House on Tuam St for an evening of old English cabaret with roast beef and beer. 

Enjoy ballads from the 18th century Beggars Opera by John Gay and by more recent rakes and layabouts like Mick Jagger and Tom Waits. Ballads about misfits, outcasts and losers that seek shelter and find it in song will be performed by Hester Ullyart, Hillary Moulder, Aaron Boyce, Chris Carrow, Samantha Boyce-Da Cruz, Marian McCurdy and Greta Bond. 

As Adam Hattaway sings: “I’m a liar, I’m a loser, got no money to burn. But guess what? I will return.” He is joined by band members Reuben Derrick, Sam White, Doug Brush and Chris Reddington. 

Cabaret Performances:   

Thursday 16th November 7.30-9.30pm (bar open 7pm)         

Friday 17th November 7.30-9.30pm (bar open 7pm)

Saturday 18th November 7.30-9.30pm (bar open 7pm)

Grub and Ale: Ye olde English Sirloin of Beef Butty with Horseradish Creme and Cassels Lager will be available at the bar.
