FLINGs Adult Community Dance Programs are a welcoming space to try something new, or return to your body in movement.
Classes are facilitated by FLING's team of professional dance artists and open to all abilities, ages and levels of experience.

Beginner Adult Ballet moves through a series of led ballet exercises.

We will warm, lengthen and stabilise the body before moving through sequences & simple ballet coordinations at the barre and in the centre.

Taught by FLING's Dance Development Officer Beth Lane, Adult Beginner Ballet is filled with imagery, anatomical information and movement cues from her collected experience in ballet, contemporary and somatic movement practices.

Beginner Adult Ballet will support you to access new ballet movement or return to dance in a way that is easeful, playful and sustainable for the body and the mind!

Wear something comfortable to move in.
Bring socks or ballet shoes for your feet.

Class content can be adjusted with support from our teachers to suit you mobility needs.
