Wild At Heart presents BEGINNERS DJ WORKSHOP with DJ Girl Whatever.
MON 17TH MARCH from 6:30PM til 9PM at Mamma Chen’s, Footscray.
This is a peer-led workshop by disabled icon & professional DJ Girl Whatever (Stella), for people who identify with disability, neurodivergence, chronic and/or mental illness.
*STRICTLY LIMITED TO 20 PARTICIPANTS*
If you have an eligible NDIS Plan you will need to use this to pay for your participation. Please email chloe@wildatheart.org.au to organise.
For participants without access to NDIS, we have these subsidised payment options:
$25 Non-NDIS payment
$10 Non-NDIS payment / Financial Hardship

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
- How to set-up the DJ decks, headphones & basic rundown of main buttons
- How to organise & prepare song files (open to any genre)
- How to mix and transition between songs
- Beat-match by ear
- Use effects & build a set flow
ACCESSIBILITY & COVID-SAFETY INFO
- This event will not be Auslan Interpreted.
- This event will not be livestreamed.
- There will be an Air Purifier in the bandroom, and patrons are encouraged to use masks in crowded spaces.
- Reminders to RAT test & stay home if you're unwell will be sent 48hrs before the event.
- There is a video pinned to @mammachens instagram regarding accessible path & features of venue.
- The entrance of Mamma Chen's is on Albert St, with ramp access for mobility aids.
- There is an accessible parking spot and bathroom available.
- There will be seats available.
- There will be earplugs available and strictly no use of strobe lighting.
