Join our Beginner Meditation Classes and embark on a journey of self-discovery and inner peace. Whether you're curious about meditation, struggled with meditating in the past, or find it challenging to make time for it; these classes are designed for you.

When:

Term 1 Dates

Mondays 7pm-8pm

8 weeks duration commencing 19th February and the final session on April 8th.

What you will experience:

  • Basic Concepts: Understand your 'monkey mind' and the purpose of meditation.
  • Techniques: Learn simple yet effective methods to strengthen your meditation muscle.
  • Guidance: Receive practical and easy-to-understand guidance to enhance your practice.

Each session will begin with the foundations of a meditation practice, experience a range of different guided meditations, breathing techniques and receive practical guidance.

Main Outcomes:

  • Gain a basic understanding and purpose of meditation.
  • Learn the importance of posture for effective meditation.
  • Explore various meditation techniques suitable for beginners.
  • Overcome obstacles hindering your meditation practice.
  • Gain confidence to integrate meditation into your life

Why Meditation? Being still and observing your mind allows a deep connection with yourself. The journey of meditation may not be perfect, but it's where the true magic happens. Regular meditation can:

  • improve baseline anxiety/depression markers
  • increase ability to focus
  • calm the nervous system and improve mood
  • enhance relaxation and sleep

Chairs are provided but you may like to bring:

  • Cushions/bolster
  • Blanket/Shawl
  • Yoga Mat
  • Eye Pillow
  • Water Bottle
  • Anything that enhances your comfort

Bookings essential

  • Casual Session: $20 + BF (book online or book and pay cash on the day)
  • Full 8-Week Block: $140 + BF
