Beginner Music Production

This workshop runs on 2 separate dates, with the same content for each session.

Suited for ages 12-18, no matter the 'skill level' or 'musical experience'

Whether you're brand new to music or want to learn some music production, this course is perfect for those ages 12- 18 who love music or want to try it out. I will guide you through the fundamentals of music production and creating unique tracks.

I'm Elijah Turner, your workshop coordinator! I am a passionate musician who has been creating original music for over 4 years! I’m excited to share my love for music with you and teach you all you need to know to get creating. My goal is to help you build confidence in your musical skills by breaking down crucial music theory ideas into easily understood and applicable concepts. No matter your experience level, I’m here to support you and your musical journey.

In this workshop, we'll cover the fundamentals of chords and common chords. We will also break down concepts and terms used commonly in the music world, including BPM, keys, the circle of fifths, note names, beats, bars and more! Along with this teaching, you will be given time in the workshop to start experimenting with your musical ideas with 1-on-1 assistance from myself.

By the end, you’ll have a solid foundation to continue exploring and creating unique music in your own way.
