Beginner's Guide to Italic Calligraphy

A fun and relaxing workshop to introduce you to handwritten italicised calligraphy script, one of the foundation styles of both modern and traditional calligraphy.
In this half day workshop you will learn:

• how to use your calligraphy materials (supplied as part of the workshop fee)
• how to write both upper and lower case italic alphabets and
• how to add flourishing, for a beautiful and dramatic finish.

All participants will have the opportunity to work on creating their own unique piece, choosing their own word or name to create in italicised script.

The cost of the workshop includes professional quality materials (calligraphy pen, paper, workbook and guide sheet), which will be yours to keep, enabling you to continue your calligraphy practice after the workshop.

Participant numbers will be limited to ensure your tutor can spend individual time with everyone who attends.
