Beginner's Yoga Workshop
Studies have shown that yoga offers both physical and mental benefits. This is an opportunity to get together and start from the beginning; starting our journey to awareness, flexibility and strength - not only of the body, but of the mind.
By understanding the alignment of our body and its range of motion, we'll be guiding it through various shapes, those being specific to our own body and needs; building a new relationship with it and learning how to really breathe.
This workshop will leave you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to embrace the practice in a group setting with confidence.
6 Week programme:
Week 1 - Breath, alignment and how to link the breath with movement.
Week 2 - Breathwork 1, Fundamental Standing Asanas (poses)
Week 3 - Breathwork 2, Fundamental Seated Asanas
Week 4 - Breathwork 3, Fundamental Supine & Prone Asanas
Week 5 - Breathwork 4 & Sun Salutations
Week 6 - Breathwork 5, a full class flow and meditation
