Beginner's Belly Dance 6-Week Series

Join Kalidasi for our first in-person class series at the new studio in Middleton! Beginners Belly Dance is an empowering (and fun!) 6-week series that focuses teaching foundational movements and posture, building a strong base for more complex technique. Classes will introduce and refine basic isolations like shoulder rolls, chest isolations, hip movements (slides, twists, drops, lifts, figure 8s, and shimmies), and traveling moves. Emphasis is placed on proper posture, musicality, and common belly dance drum rhythms. Choreography is introduced gradually, combining these basic movements.
Students will complete this 6 week series with a foundational understanding of core belly dance movements and a small choreography that weaves it all together! Perfect for the total beginner or more seasoned dancers looking to brush up on their foundational technique.
