Beginners guide to orange wine
Event description
In a year of social distancing lets increase your skin contact intake...
Monday night’s talk will be a fun deep dive into the exciting and ever-growing category of orange wine. As a seemingly emerging type of wine making, energy around this section of wine lists and production is growing rapidly. BUT where did it come from? Why does it taste the way it does? Do you like it? Let’s find out.
Join the warm, magnetic, wine knowledge-fountain that is Mem Hemmings (P&V, Three Blue Ducks & Oma food and wine) for an evening of learning and tasting (read drinking) as she walks you through eight exciting and delicious orange wines.
During this two hour masterclass you will touch on but won’t be limited to learning about 'natural wine’ and the impact it has on the global wine landscape. The rich past and bright future of orange wine, as well as the importance and provenance of this particular wine making style. Mem will demystify (and re-mystify?!) all things wine and orange wine related.
