Beginners Guide to Preserving with Amy Sloan
Event description
The team at Baldivis Community Garden are super excited to have Amy from My Nonna Life coming to provide a Beginners Guide to Preserving workshop.
Do you have gluts from your garden and not sure what to do with your excess produce? Or perhaps you would like to reduce your food waste, or learn new skills?
Amy is a self-taught food preserver who learnt the skill of preserving out of necessity, harvesting over half a ton of produce from her home garden. She has a passion for all things gardening, cooking and preserving and embracing the skills of generations past.
This instructional workshop is geared towards those brand new to food preserving or those who have dabbled in the past. Amy will provide insight into different methods of food preserving, as well as tips and tricks to get you started on your journey.
Amy is generously providing her time free of charge so any donations are encouraged and would go towards Baldivis Community Garden. Reserve your spot now and don’t forget to bring along any questions you may have for Amy.
