Learn how to design, cut and print patterns or designs into a lino block and make beautiful artworks. If all you know about lino is the stuff on the floor then this class will be a real eye opener, and great fun.

Everything is provided so there's no need to buy materials or equipment. You will take home your lino and can use them to carry on printing at home.

We'll cover different carving techniques, talk about paper registration and editioning and experiment with layering and different ways to add colour to prints.

By the end of the course you will have printed your linos on a range of papers for framing, to make greetings cards, give as presents or swap with others in the class.

This course is perfect for beginners. No experience needed.

Lino printing is great to carry on with at home as no press is needed to print your images.

This workshop is suitable for adults/18 years old and above.

All materials are provided including printing paper, printing inks, a 15x15cm lino block, the use of lino tools and printing equipment.

Bookings essential as places are limited. Minimum of 4 participants for the workshop to proceed.

What do participants need to bring: Bring an image that is quite bold and suitable for a graphic medium like linocut. If you prefer to use your own Lino tools please bring them along.

There will be a short lunch break - please bring your own refreshments, snacks and lunch.

Tea & coffee provided.

Wear closed in shoes for safety and bring an apron or paint shirt .

Covid Safety:

Participants must checkin, wash or sanitise their hands immediately upon entering the workshop and maintain physical distancing whenever possible during class. If you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been directed to isolate, you must not attend class.
