Event description

At the end of a rugged mountain trail in Northern Peru, hidden in hundreds of miles of intact cloud forest and surrounded by soaring 4,000 meter mountains, a remote subsistence farming community crafts a unique coffee under the shade of the forest canopy. To meet their economic needs while protecting their amazing cloud forest home, the community of Leymebamba must grapple with numerous challenges, including no road access to their community and the demands and pressures of a volatile international coffee market.

Join us on Saturday 19 July to find out how this unique coffee is made and transported to North East London with the support of Techo Verde (the green roof), a not-for-profit social enterprise set up to support the coffee growers in Leymebamba. Find out more at www.techoverde.co.uk and www.instagram.com/techoverde.coffee/.

Date: Saturday 19 July

Time: 4:30pm to 6pm

Host: Conrad Feather, founder of Techo Verde
