Cyber awareness is no longer just an IT responsibility, it’s essential for everyone working in education.

From student records and research data to online learning platforms, schools, universities, and training providers are prime targets for cyber attacks. Yet, many professionals in the sector are expected to manage these risks without the knowledge or training to do so confidently.

Behind the Breach: Understanding Cyber Threats for Education Professionals is designed to change that.

Delivered by the University of Canberra in partnership with Cisco Networking Academy and Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), this practical short course equips education professionals with the awareness and skills needed to recognise, respond to, and reduce cyber risks in their day-to-day roles.

Across three evenings, you will:

• Understand the real cyber threats facing education environments

• Learn how breaches happen and how to prevent them

• Build practical awareness to protect student, staff, and institutional data

• Apply simple, effective cyber risk practices within your organisation

This is not a technical course. It’s built for professionals who need to be cyber aware, make informed decisions, and contribute to a safer digital environment across their institution.
