The Social Enterprise Council of NSW an ACT (SECNA) invites you to a unique opportunity to engage with one of NSW's incredible social enterprises on a Mission to close the digital divide with refurbished devices: The Reconnect Project

What to expect

Throughout the tour, you'll witness a bustling repair shop where The Reconnect Project's expert technicians breathe new life into everything from smartphones, laptops, gaming consoles to coffee machines!

The tour will start with a talk from The Reconnect Project Founder and CEO, Annette Brodie, who will share The Reconnect Project's story, the breadth of their services and programs including Australia’s first Mobile Device Repair Technician Training Course and the business' social and environmental impact. Annette will also share rewards and challenges of operating a social enterprise.

Next you will hear from one of The Reconnect Project's expert technicians who will share their experience in the shop, what inspires them and what's keeping them busy in 2025!

After plenty of time for questions with The Reconnect Project team, you'll be guided around the shop to see the repair process in action. [MORE INFO TO BE ADDED HERE]

About The Reconnect Project

The Reconnect Project is an award-winning social enterprise. We provide quality repair services for mobile phones, laptops and tablets, and accept technology donations to distribute to people in desperate need. The Reconnect Project aims to close the digital divide and provide a solution to the e-waste of mobile devices. Individuals, groups and businesses benefit with knowing that their preloved devices will be securely erased, repaired, and go to a good home, alleviating them of the concern about how to dispose of unwanted technology. Recipients of the refurbished devices benefit as they are provided with access to technology that they otherwise could not obtain, giving them the means to connect with people – friends, family, essential services. Read more
