(Belated) Clean Up Australia Day
Event description
Rainwater and wind carries litter from our streets into the ocean and harms our native wildlife. So let's something about it! Join incoming REQ president Melissa Dor and REQ photographer Dean for a belated Clean Up Australia Day around the urban streets of central Perth. After we've finished scouring the streets, you are invited to share a catered lunch in the spacious and breezy rooftop residents lounge of their aparment complex as a reward for your hard work.
Time:
We will begin picking up rubbish at 9:00am. Tongs down at 10:30pm for morning tea with you fellow volunteers.
Location:
Perth CBD/Northbridge area. We will meet in the downstairs lobby of 105 Stirling Street.
What to bring and wear:
- Tongs for picking up rubbish (optional)
- Gardening gloves
- Water bottle
- Coffee Keep Cup
- Hat
- Suitable enclosed shoes
- Mask
What is provided:
- Sunscreen
- Spare wide brim hats
- Spare dispoable gloves
