Join ICEDS and the COP Universities Alliance for an in-depth webinar unpacking the outcomes of COP30 in Belém and what they mean for the road ahead.
Hear directly from experts who were on the ground at COP30 as they share first-hand reflections, analysis, and lessons for Australia’s preparations for COP31.
Program
2.30pm: Professor John Thwaites AM will open the event and welcome attendees
2.35pm: Keynote presentation from Dr Virginia Marshall. Dr Marshall is the Inaugural Indigenous Postdoctoral Fellow, working in both ANU Fenner School of Environment and Society and ANU School of Regulation and Global Governance. She is attending this year's conference in Belém and will be sharing her insider perspectives on key negotiations and breakthroughs.
3pm: Examination of the recent summit with reflections from three speakers who were on the ground in Belém:
