Event description

Welcome back to Memorial Hall!

Following an extensive period of renovation, Bellingen's beloved Memorial Hall is set to re-establish itself as the community's most recognisable cultural hub.

This multi-arts performance programme spans six nights, showcasing theatre, comedy, classical music, film and contemporary music. (Please note there are now two film screenings, due to the smaller venue capacity in cinema configuration.)

  • Monday 29th May – Theatre (M 15+) – Minefields & Miniskirts (+ Welcome to Country/Smoking/Dance)
  • Tuesday 30th May – Film (M 15+) – The Velvet Queen (+ Gunganbu Band)
  • Wednesday 31st May – Comedy (18+) – Mel Buttle + Lizzy Hoo, with MC Ben Stevenson and guests
  • Thursday 1st June – Classical Music (all ages) – Andrea Lam, Valla Voices, Coffs Coast String Quartet (+ Rivers Dance Centre)
  • Friday 2nd June – Film (M) – The Giants (+ Jumbaal Dreamin’)
  • Saturday 3rd June – Contemporary Music (18+) – First Beige, Funkatu, Pablo Blitzer Trio

The whole community is invited to gather and experience the tingling atmosphere created when an audience is enraptured by the performing arts.

NEW DATES - please note that due to postponement of the original run of dates and changes to the line up, ALL existing tickets were cancelled and will not be transferred to new dates. Existing ticket holders are accorded a week's advance notice of the new dates, after which the dates go public.

The Grand Reopening event series is funded by NSW Government via the Reconnecting Regional Communities fund, with valuable support from Bellingen Shire Council.
