Belonging and Inclusion in Community Clubs

Active Inclusion Workshop

Welcoming Clubs invites leaders, members and volunteers at community and sport clubs in Townsville to participate in our 90-minute interactive workshop

Participants will be empowered with a deeper understanding of their personal experiences so they can positively impact how others experience inclusion and belonging in community and sport clubs.

Our activities will explore ideas of welcome, privilege, bias and exclusion, and provide participants with evidence-based strategies and resources that enhance access and participation while reducing the impact of barriers to meaningful involvement.

Our workshop will cover:

• Inclusive practices that engage diverse and multicultural communities

• Inclusive coaching techniques that empower coaches and leaders

• Upstander training used to prevent and address discrimination and racism
