music from tangerine, who will take us on a peaceful, gentle and contemplative ambient DJ set to close the night; a debut live collaboration from Zoltan Fecso and Genevieve Fry, who bring together their worlds of ambient minimalism and lyrical improvisation, shaping moments of deep listening and an unhurried exploration of acoustic and electronic sound; and Neanderlin (DJ), a multimodal artist and Psychiatry doctor exploring Art as a vehicle for Mental Health Literacy, who crafts mood-making soundscapes, cathartic hypertempo ambient, neanderthalic ritual music, and live improv throat singing.
This is a non-alcoholic event, with drinks provided by Heaps Normal and Mateo Soda <3
This is a semi-deep listening event. While we encourage presence, slowness, and attentiveness to the music, we also welcome gentle socialising and conversation. Please keep voice volumes soft and respectful of the sonic space being held. Feel free to move between states of deep listening and quiet connection with others as you feel called. We invite you to find your own balance between inward reflection and outward engagement throughout the evening.
Some suggested activities to do while listening: reading, drawing, stretching, playing chess, meditating, taking a nap, nothing.
Beloved and Tender acknowledge that this event takes place on the stolen and unceded lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, and pay respect to elders past, present, emerging and future.
Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land.
