Event description

In 2023, Oaktree Australia and the team behind Live Below The Line, bring you BELOW THE SHOW...a concert for a cause.

Join us for a fun, family-friendly afternoon out at CERES Brunswick, with live music, food, beverages and all round good vibes.

Below the Show will feature young, up and coming artists with a diverse range of music styles, including performances from

Artist 1: Misty Harlowe and Aidan Efron
Misty Harlowe, is a country blues americana singer songwriter. Her music is inspired by her roots in Gippsland’s Snowy River region. As a natural storyteller with intimate stories of the Australian landscape, she charms the audience with her sweet velvety voice, intricate guitar playing, and strong country melodies. If Marty Robbins the western balladeer and Stevie Nicks wrote a song together round a campfire it would emulate Misty’s sound.
    Artist 2: Backo
Backo is an indie solo artist, stemming from regional Victoria. Since moving to the city of Melbourne, back has performed multiple captivating headliners at the Workers Club, and many other music-driven venues. Backo's music could be described as a mix of Spacey Jane, Arctic Monkeys and Harry Styles, all adding up to a unique, resonant and energetic sound. Last month, Backo released his second single ‘Sunshine, on all streaming platforms!
    Artist 3: Meghna
Meghna is Sanskrit for “the one who walks on clouds”, although she could not be more down-to-earth. An emerging Indian-Australian artist with roots in some of the richest cultures in India (Bengali and Tamil), Meghna can’t help but write about the world’s untold stories. As a Law and Human Rights student, she endeavours to write and sing not only about things which she has experienced firsthand but also social justice and the human condition. Citing influences in Audrey Nuna, NCT, and Cochise, Meghna’s genre-defying style of singing is complemented by her introspective lyrics which challenge the listener to look inside themselves.

All funds raised through ticket sales for this event, will go directly to Oaktree's flagship fundraising campaign Live Below the Line

Live Below the Line is Oaktree’s flagship fundraiser campaign where we challenge participants to live without for 5 days from the 15-19 May. There are five lines to navigate: Energy, Food, Shelter, Technology and Waste. This will ultimately help us raise money and awareness of the impacts of poverty and inequality and will go directly towards Oaktree’s Youth Solidarity Fund (OYSF) which provides youth-led organisations, groups and grassroots movements across the Asia-Pacific with access to flexible funding and support to enable and empower youth-led change. By taking part, you're championing a movement to tackle injustice and create a fairer world for all.

Where do you draw the line?
