Thank you for booking! Nicki and I are so excited that you will be joining us for our Spring Equinox Medicine Drum Crafting Workshop on 7th & 8th November 2026.

This is the time when the veils between us and the fairy realm are the thinnest. The peak of Spring and the gateway to Summer - what a delicious time to gather and craft a drum!

The process of making your own drum is reflective of your own birth story, and how you do "process" in relationship to Other.

Birthing a drum becomes a 'way in' to your inner workings, a way for you to be present with imprinting from your own birth and early childhood.

By approaching the process with awareness and consciousness, you not only make yourself a personalised shamanic tool, but can have a shamanic experience, connecting with the animal of the hide you are using and the wood of the frame.

Birthing Your Medicine Drum

As with any crafting or birthing process there is no ‘right way’, and, regardless of what we may plan for this process, it will be what it needs to be for our personal growth. Some may say, so that we can become the ones the world needs now!

Be aware that from the moment you decided to birth a Medicine Drum, the process has already begun. You may have already noticed that certain familiar thoughts or patterns have arisen. We invite you to be the loving witness of yourself during this time. We recommend that you write about this in your journal as it is all part of your Medicine Drum birthing journey.

In Preparation:

During our time together you will not only be crafting your very own medicine drum, you will also be taking a shamanic journey that provides the opportunity to raise your self-awareness through mindful observation of your Self and your birthing process (all creative processes are 'birthing' processes, and this is true whether you are a man or a woman).

When we approach anything we do with full consciousness, we have the ability to gain insights about ourselves and how we connect with the world, and potentially experience shifts of perception that can forever influence our thinking and behaviour!

To get the most from this experience please take some time to do the following:

1. Find out about your birth – write down what you do know and ask those who may have information (so Mum if she is available of course, but also other souls who were around: Dad, Mum’s friends, auntie’s / uncles, grandparents, older siblings, etc.)

2. Take time to reflect on your births – this includes births of children if you are a woman (full term, alive, not alive, miscarriages, abortions); as well as projects, books, essays, homes, artwork, songs, poems, re-births, reports, etc. Notice if there are any themes or commonalities amongst them.
