😍BLASE and Anneliese invite you to join us for this month's Beltane Somatic Dance gathering🔥

Beltane is an ancient Celtic tradition which marks the beginning of Summer! It's a festive time, celebrating the arrival of warmer days, abundance, fertility, and it's a season of renewal.

Come and gather in community to celebrate this seasonal shift! This will be a Somatic Dance expertly guided by Anneliese, while BLASE is back behind the decks providing a rich and decadent soundscape fit for this time of plenty 😍

Somatic Dance is a guided free form movement journey, delving deep into the layers of the body and held in a non-judgemental space where all of you is welcome. No prior dance experience is necessary and all bodies are welcome. There are no routines or steps to follow here, simply an invitation to discover how your body wishes to move. The guided facilitation is supported by a carefully curated soundscape overseen by a DJ.

This dance is an invitation for you to come and move your body to the unique rhythm of you, supporting a deeper connection with yourself and others.

This is a space free from alcohol, shoes and talking. Let the epic music and guidance of your facilitator carry you out of your mind and into your body, allowing yourself to experience the transformative power of Somatic Dance! The music takes the form of a wave, beginning gently before building to a peak, then settling back down to land softly and slowly.

We recommend wearing clothes you are comfortable moving in (layers are great), bring along a drink bottle and a drop or two of curiosity!

Our dance spaces are designed for adults to create a space where you are able to freely explore and express your authentic self, in whichever shape and form it happens to be expressing itself. As part of this, we request that alternate arrangements are made to care for any children while you attend. If you have a child you would like to bring along, please reach out to us and we can have a chat about whether it is a possibility.

The location is: Mt Eden Village Centre, 449 Mount Eden Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024

We welcome you at any time from 6.45pm for a 7pm start

🎟️ $25 supported dancers, we want to continue to make our dances accessible for those on low incomes or struggling to make ends meet
🎟️ $30 supporting dancers, for those able to support us in what we are offering

If price is a barrier to attending, please reach out to us and we can work something out, an additional hand with tasks on the day is often appreciated.

Feel free to share this event and invite friends! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us and we would love to support you

We look forward to welcoming you!
