Dreaming of a White Christmas? Experience the Magic of Christmas in July at Ben Lomond!

On Saturday, 12 July 2025, Ben Lomond Base transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland for our second annual Christmas in July Extravaganza!

🎄 From 3pm, festivities kick off at The Base—just 30 minutes from Launceston—with live music, festive workshops, fire spinners, fairy floss, Christmas carols, and an incredible lineup of local food and drink vendors. Come ready to eat, drink, and be oh, so merry!

❄️ Want to make a full day of it? Arrive early (from 8am) and head up the mountain for some snowy fun—tobogganing, snowball fights, skiing—it’s all waiting for you! Take advantage of our Christmas in July special on toboggan packs when you purchase your event tickets.

🔥 Once Jack Frost starts nipping at your toes, warm up by the firepits with melty s’mores, enjoy live music from 3pm, and soak up the festive atmosphere.

🎁 Book ahead for our popular Christmas workshops, including:

Gingerbread house workshop with Sabina and Brad from Sabina’s Petit Gateau (3:15-4:15pm)
Festive wreath-making with Genna from Ivy and Rose Florist (5.15-6.15pm)
A whisky-tasting masterclass with Adam from Adam’s Distillery (6:45-7:45pm)

🍷 Sip on mulled wine from Bundaleera Vineyard, spiced cider from Spreyton Cider, and warming hot toddies, whiskies, and gins from Adam’s Distillery. The Albert Brewery will also be pouring your favourite craft lagers.

Enjoy fire-seared pork ribs, wallaby sausages or pumpkin arancini from Season's Pantry, or choose from an array of seafood from the Sailor's Food Truck! Looking for something sweeter? Monica's Fairy Floss will be selling the most fabulous flavours of fairy floss!

🎶 As night falls, dance the night away with a stellar lineup of local musicians, DJs, and performers under the winter sky.

Celebrate the best of Tasmanian winter with incredible artisans, producers, and performers coming together for a night of festive cheer, flavours, and fun.

🚌 To help you make the most of the night, we'll be running coaches from Launceston to Ben Lomond Base for those who want to leave the car at home. Note: we do not offer transport up the mountain, so those wishing to visit the snow before the event will need to self-drive.
