BENCHED Opening Event

Join us on Saturday 17th October from 6 to 8pm for the official opening of BENCHED at Queens Theatre.

BENCHED brings together 40+ designers, architects, artists and makers, each responding to the same brief: design a bench seat within a 1200W × 450H envelope and a $450 production budget. The result is 40+ very different responses to the same familiar object, bringing emerging and established creatives together under one roof.

Come down for food by Sunnys, wine generously provided by Gentle Folk and Delinquente, and records by Aaronac. Meet the people behind the work, take a seat, and stick around as we draw the Remington Matters SOFA Sweepstake, with one lucky winner taking home a JF Sofa.

The night doesn’t finish at 8. Stick around as we partner with Company Works and ADW for the Adelaide Design Week Closing Party, with more music, drinks and a chance to see out the week together.
