Bendigo Teachers Environment Network Meeting

Join us at the Bendigo Repair Shed to learn about how the ResourceSmart Schools program supports teachers and students to implement sustainability initiatives and education.

This event is perfect for teachers, educators and school staff who would like to learn more about free and local sustainability education support.


Emily Condon - ResourceSmart Schools facilitator

Ian McBurney - Coordinator of the Greater Bendigo Climate Collaboration, a partnership of 15 leading Bendigo organisations working towards a zero emissions Greater Bendigo by 2030.

For 25 years he has been a sustainability practitioner, speaker, MC and facilitator, helping organisations, communities, schools and government to look after the planet. In the early 2000s he spent five years at Vox Bandicoot, writing and delivering environmental theatre in schools, writing environmental curriculum, and delivering environmental education professional development for teachers.

What to expect:

  • Hear from Emily Condon about how she can support your school in sustainability education and initiatives
  • Join us as Ian McBurney delivers a fun and thought-provoking workshop on environmental education and how teachers can build sustainability into their everyday practice
  • Connect with local teachers, share ideas and get inspired!

There will be time for Q&A and networking with local stakeholders and sustainability supporters.

Tea, coffee and a light morning tea will be provided. Please arrive at 9:15am for a 9:30am start.
