In 1916 Oliver Woodward tears himself away from the woman he loves to join the army’s new, top-secret Australian Tunnelling Company. After minimal training, these civilian miners are sent to the mud and carnage of the Western Front.  Deep beneath the German lines, Woodward and his platoon fight to defend a labyrinthine tunnel system packed with high explosives.
