We spend so much of life showing the world our branches.

Our smile. Our achievements. Our roles. The parts of ourselves everyone else gets to see.

But beneath the surface lies something much richer.

The people who shaped us. The moments that changed us. The challenges we overcame. The dreams we still carry. The lessons we never expected to learn.

This workshop reveals the beauty of what lays beneath the surface.

Using flowing watercolour techniques, you'll create a striking tree artwork whose hidden roots are as unique as you.

You'll have the opportunity to quietly fill your roots with words, names, dates, symbols or memories that hold meaning for you. They might represent courage. Love. Loss. Adventure. Hope. Family. Resilience.

.... or perhaps something only you will ever understand.

As you paint the soil below what the world sees, your artwork becomes filled with beautiful flowing patterns that are as unique as you.

No artistic experience is needed.

No serious pants required either.

This isn't about creating the perfect painting.

It's about creating one that is yours.

By the end of the session you'll head home with:

• Your own completed A4 artwork framed in your choice of black, oak or white.

• A creative experience you'll remember long after the paint has dried.

• A unique artwork that you created by giving yourself permission to pause for an afternoon.

Ribbonwood Farm Retreat, Walkamin (15mins from Atherton)

Set amongst twenty acres of majestic gums, birdlife, beautiful views and nature provides us with a spectacular background soundtrack while we settle in for a few hours of gentle tunes, great company and mindful painting.
