Benefit Concert for Gaza: Oxfam's Gaza Emergency Fund

Make Freedom Ring presents a fundraising concert for Oxfam on January 25th, 2026 at 16:00 in Kühlhaus Berlin.

The proceeds of the concert will support Oxfam's humanitarian interventions in Gaza and the West Bank to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable in the region and provide life saving assistance.

"Make Freedom Ring" is organizing an international classical concert series that draws attention to the current humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and collects donations for various aid organizations. 

These concerts has been produced by a loose collective of musicians and culture workers across London, Berlin, Lisbon, Barcelona and New York. You can find us on Instagram @makefreedomring2024 and at makefreedomring.co.uk.

Background

On March 8 in London and March 10 2024 in Berlin, the group Make Freedom Ring organized parallel concerts to fundraise for institutions providing humanitarian aid in Gaza, as well as to generate conversation and support. Since then, several more concerts across Berlin, Manchester, Munich, Hamburg, Barcelona and Lisbon have raised approximately 100.000€ for various charities and foundations, such as Medical Aid for Palestine, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, Save the Children and Medico International. 

These concerts were organized as a response to the classical music industry’s relative silence regarding the ongoing human casualties and loss of life in Gaza, in the hopes of not only showing support for the people of Palestine and those that are suffering, but of starting a conversation within the sector about this world event. Make Freedom Ring has mobilized musicians and artists to draw attention to the plight of Palestinians through music with the help of media coverage and the public.
