Benefizkonzert Für Gaza in Berlin: Gaza Birds Singing

Die humanitäre Katastrophe in Gaza ist noch lange nicht vorbei. Seit Anfang Oktober 2025 ist ein sogenannter Friedensplan in Kraft, der mit einem gerechten Frieden wenig zu tun hat. Anstatt eine Vision von Freiheit und Selbstbestimmung zu bieten, zementiert er den Status quo. Gaza liegt in Trümmern. Um dieser anhaltenden Zerstörung und Entmenschlichung entgegenzuwirken und sich für einen gerechten Frieden einzusetzen, lädt Make Freedom Ring Sie zu einem klassischen Benefizkonzert im Kühlhaus Berlin ein.

Der Erlös des Konzerts kommt der Hilfe von Gaza Birds Singing.

Selbstverständlich wird es auch eine Kasse geben, an der Tickets direkt vor Ort erworben werden können.

Über Make Freedom Ring:

Am 8. März in London und am 10. März 2024 in Berlin organisierte die Gruppe Make Freedom Ring parallele Konzerte, um Spenden für humanitäre Hilfsorganisationen in Gaza zu sammeln und den Dialog sowie die Unterstützung zu fördern. Seitdem wurden durch mehrere weitere Konzerte in Berlin, Manchester, München, Hamburg, Barcelona und Lissabon rund 100.000 € für verschiedene Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen und Stiftungen gesammelt, darunter Medical Aid for Palestine, der Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Save the Children und Medico International.

Diese Konzerte wurden als Reaktion auf das relative Schweigen der klassischen Musikbranche angesichts der anhaltenden menschlichen Verluste und Todesfälle in Gaza organisiert, in der Hoffnung, nicht nur Unterstützung für die Menschen in Palästina und die Leidenden zu zeigen, sondern auch eine Diskussion innerhalb der Branche über dieses globale Ereignis anzustoßen. Make Freedom Ring hat Musiker und Künstler mobilisiert, um durch Medienberichterstattung und öffentliches Engagement mit Hilfe von Musik auf die Notlage der Palästinenser aufmerksam zu machen. Make Freedom Ring presents a fundraising concert for Gaza in partnership with Gaza Birds Singing on May 14th 2026, at Kühlhaus Berlin.

The proceeds of the concert will support the work of Gaza Birds Singing work providing humanitarian aid in Gaza alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable in the region and provide life saving assistance.

"Make Freedom Ring" is a collective of musicians that organizes an international classical concert series drawing attention to the current humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and collects donations for various aid organizations.

To date, the collective has raised over 100.000 € of aid through events in London, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Lisbon, Barcelona, New York, Manchester and more. You can find us on Instagram @makefreedomring2024 and at makefreedomring.co.uk.

Background

On March 8 2024 in London and March 10 2024 in Berlin, the group Make Freedom Ring organized parallel concerts to fundraise for institutions providing humanitarian aid in Gaza, as well as to generate conversation and support. Since then, several more concerts across Berlin, Manchester, Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Barcelona, New York and Lisbon have raised over 100.000€ for various charities and foundations, such as Oxfam International, the Norwegian Refugee Council, Medical Aid for Palestinian, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund and Medico International.

These concerts were organized as a response to the classical music industry’s relative silence regarding the ongoing human casualties and loss of life in Gaza, in the hopes of not only showing support for the people of Palestine and those that are suffering, but of starting a conversation within the sector about this world event. Make Freedom Ring has mobilized musicians and artists to draw attention to the plight of Palestinians through music with the help of media coverage and the public. Please spread the word.
