Spanish-Dutch saxophonist and composer Bernard van Rossum performs with his quartet on an Australian tour joined by some of Sydney’s leading young jazz figures. Also known as the leader of the award-winning BvR Flamenco Big Band, van Rossum presents a vibrant modern jazz journey weaving together global influences, from Brazilian folklore to rhythms of flamenco. While in Perth he will also perform with Western Australia Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO).

The Weatherbirds, Bernice Tesara (Trumpet) and Max Leggott (Saxophone), have spent the last six years playing all up and down the NSW coast developing their own dictionary of musical ideas together. Backed up by the incredible rhythm section of Cairn Peterson (Bass) and Alex Inman-Hislop (Drums), the group will present a swinging set of conversations in music through their original compositions.
